Co-Creating Resistance: Visual Embodied Methodologies Network (VEM)

ALL OF US – On Migration, Building Connection, and Collective Care

This project brings together the voices, images, and experiences of 22 migrant and migrant-heritage women from across the Global Majority, living in London.

During the period of 4 months, these collective of women met through participatory arts sessions like drama games, photovoice, poetry, banner-making, and storytelling to reflect creatively on migration, belonging, resistance, and the many ways we care for ourselves, for one another, and for our communities.

The result is not just a collection of creative work; it is a declaration of presence, power, and solidarity. Woven through moments of joy, vulnerability, loss, and rediscovery, All of Us invites you into a space of collective strength and fierce tenderness.

Born from the Imaging Resistance project—a collaboration between Principal Investigator Cathy McIlwaine (King’s College London) and Migrants in Action (MinA), this exhibition celebrates what becomes possible when we create together, across borders, languages, and life journeys.
